Outside network (before the last May 28 expansion)
On last Monday June 23, Reynald Proulx with Ronald Pelletier put in the last spike of our outside network.
A magnificient achievement. In less than 2 months, the QMRS team members completed a 600 feet expansion to
the layout.
The outside (1 ½ inches) presents:

about 1100 feet (365 m) of dog bone shape layout ;

a 6 m container with 4 floor level tracks and 2 other elevated for rolling stock storage;

a QMRS owned VIA LRC is available for member rides. Five others are member's owned;

a parallel track allowing two trains to run simultaneously;
-
an elevating ramp for member locomotive and car loading and unloading along with 2 ramps for
rolling stock maintenance;
-
an elevating transfer table for locomotive and car storage;
-
a 40 feet (3.7 m) trailer for stock storage.
